About the farm
The Arashi farm is located in Saraguro (Loja, Ecuador) and is run by Abel Salinas. Abel is 58 years old and has made a name for himself as a Cup of Excellence award winner. Around 22,000 coffee plants now grow at an altitude of approximately 1,900 meters, with a clear focus on the exceptional Typica Mejorado variety. Abel also cultivates Sidra and the H1 hybrid to further expand his range of high-quality specialty coffees.

About the processing
The processing of this coffee begins with pulping, followed by dry fermentation for 24 hours. The coffee is then washed and immediately dried gently for around 15 days.

About the variety
Mejorado is now considered a real gem of Ecuador. Typica Mejorado is a cross between Bourbon and an Ethiopian landrace.
